Pleural Tapping



 Pleural Tapping (also called Thoracentesis) is a procedure to remove excess fluid from the space between the lungs and the chest wall. The procedure is performed with a needle or a plastic catheter inserted through the chest wall. The procedure is used in order to make it easier for you to breathe.
